- radioactive rays consists of three different charged particles:-
- Alpha particle
- Beta particle
- Gamma particle
example of radioactive elements is radium (Ra).
LIMITATIONS OF THOMSONN'S MODEL OF ATOM -
- it does not explain about hydrogen spectrum.
- it does not explain about Rutherford scattering experiment.
- it also does not explain about Photoelectric effect .
- blackboard effect is also not explain by Thomson's model of atom .
