Rain is the liquid water droplets which are the condensed form of the water vapour of the atmosphere.  

These droplets become heavy and fall under the gravity.

There are mainly three types of rainfall i.e.

Relief rainfall,

Convectional rainfall

Frontal rainfall.

The relief rainfall generally occurs beside the sea area near the mountains.

Convectional rainfall usually occurs on a hot summer day by the heating of the surface water.

The frontal rain occurs when the tropical warm air mass contacts with the cold, air mass.
