Answer:

ROM- Read only memory.

RAM- Random access memory .

PROM- Programmable read only memory.

EPROM- Electrically programmable read only memory.

Explanation:

What are the differences between ROM, PROM, EPROM and EEPROM?

Become a certified electric vehicle engineer.

ROM : Read Only Memory. It can't be erased or written too.Memory chips that are programmed in the factory for large run production.

PROM : Programmable Read Only Memory. It is programmed only once by blown of internal fuses permanently and is also called Field Programmable ROM and is programmed bby using a ROM programmer in the lab or onsite

EPROM : Electrically Programmable Read Only Memory. It can be programmed using a higher voltage and erased using intense ultraviolet light. It have a small transparent window on top of the package which can be erased before reprogramming by exposing the chip to UV light for a specific time.

EEPROM is Electrically Eraseable Programmable Read Only Memory. It is programmed and erased many times over using the supply rail. It doesn't need a high voltage and they have limited writes. They can be erased by using electrical pulses for a finite number of times.
