How to reduce random errors. Since random errors are random and can shift values both higher and lower, they can be eliminated through repetition and averaging. A true random error will average out to zero if enough measurements are taken and averaged (through a line of best fit).

It is caused by inherently unpredictable fluctuations in the readings of a measurement apparatus or in the experimenter's interpretation of the instrumental reading. Random errors show up as different results for ostensibly the same repeated measurement.
Random errors cannot be eliminated from an experiment, but more systematic errors may be reduced....
