rapid combustion:---

a combustion reaction in which a large amount of heat and light are evolve in a short period of time is known as rapid combustion.

** slow combustion.

a combustion reaction in which energy is released very slowly even though oxidation take place is called slow combustion.

Rapid combustion:
In rapid combustion massive amount of energy is released in the form of heat and light. Sometimes with an explosion.

e.g
Burning of kerosene in kerosene stove

Slow Combustion:
If the process of combustion is going on slowly and producing less amount of heat then it will be termed as slow combustion reaction.

Digestion of food.
