The speed by which any substance is getting diffused is known as the rate of diffusion.
Two factors which determine the rate of diffusion of a liquid in another liquid are:
1) Temperature – higher is the temperature, greater is the rate of diffusion.
2) Density- More is the density of one liquid, lesser is the rate of its diffusion in other liquid.

Rate of diffusion is diffusion which increases when the distance between decreases.
It states that rate od diffusion is inversely proportional to the square root of its molecular weight.
