The ratio between two quantities say a and b may be written a:b OR aapse a division or as fraction a/b.

Some important facts About Ratio :
- In a ratio, the order of terms is very important. I. e., the ratio 3:4 is different from the raptors 4:3. I. e., 3:4 =/= 4:3.
- Ratio exists between quantities of the same kind. I. e., we cannot write raptors between height of a man and the weight of a man.
- The two quantities compared in a ratio must be expressed in 5ye same unit .i. e.,ratio between 125 cm and 1 m 50 cm = ratio between 125 and 1150 cm =125/750=5/6=5:6
- Ratio has no unit I. e., the names if unit are not used in a ratio. Ratio is a number only.
