For adding two rational numbers you have to follow the given example below :
-5/7 + 3/12
LCM : 84
=≥ -60 + 21 / 84
=≥ -39/84
For subtracting two rational numbers you have to use the principle of integers
For multiplication you have to use the principle of integers and reduce to the simplified term
For division you have to reciprocate and reduce to the simplest term
