Real image is the image which is formed when the light rays meet at a particular point after reflection from the mirror.Virtual image refers to the image which forms when the light rays appear to meet at definite point, after reflection from the mirror.

cathrin12: Examples of real image :- Image at eye's retina, image formed by projector. Examples of virtual image :- image on a T.V. screen, your face in mirror.

A real image occurs where rays converge, but a virtual image occurs where rays only appear to converge.
