                   Real Number

Any positive or negative numbers which include all rational and irrational number and integer is called real number

Following are the real number with different exponents

Real number with positive integer as exponents :-

Let 'a' and 'n' be any real number and positive integer respectively. Then we define aⁿ = a * a * a....... n times. We read aⁿ as a raised to the power 'n'.

In aⁿ, the real number 'a' is called the base and 'n' is called the exponent, power or index.

Real number with Zero or Negative Integer as Exponent :-

Let 'a' and 'n' be any real number and positive integer respectively. Then, we define, a⁻ⁿ = 1/aⁿ

Note : a⁰ = 1
