A redox reaction is a reaction in which oxidation and reduction take place simultaneously.

In the first reaction , the substances which are :

1. Oxidised = CO2 ( Carbon Dioxide ).
2. Reduced = Pb ( Lead ).

In the second reaction , the substances which are :

1. Oxidised = Cl2 ( Chlorine ).
2. Reduced = MnCl2 ( Manganese Chloride ).
