Answer:

What is Reduction Reaction?

Reduction reaction :

A reaction in which there is decrease of oxidation number or removal of oxygen or addition of hydrogen atom.

For example :

Zn + CuSO₄ = > ZnSO₄ + Cu

Now their O.N.

Zn = 0     Cu = +2    Zn =  +2  Cu = 0

Here Cu goes + 2 to 0 , decrease in O.N.

So , it is reduction reaction.
