Reeling of silk is the process of drawing silk fibre from the cocoon.

Silk Reeling:

It is an act of creating a single thread by the number of cocoon baves are rolled together. It is achieved by collecting the unwinding filaments from a bulk of cooked cocoons at one end in a hot water bath and turning the yielded thread onto a fast-moving reel.

Raw silk reeling classified by indirect reeling method of small reels, direct method of reeling on a normal sized reel and move the reeled thread from small reels onto the re-reeling machine with standard-sized reels.
