This answer is not possible because both son and daughter are used in this question.

If you either use son or daughter,

The answer is Reena's age is 10

and her son's/daughter's age is 2

This answer too is logically not possible

Answer

Both the statements are not sufficient to calculate the present age of Reena.

Explanation

  • The statement first, Reena's present age is five times her son's age. Here son's age is not given, only the difference in the age of both are provided.
  • The statement second, Reena's age two years hence will be three times her daughter's age at that time. Here Reena age is compared with the age of her daughter which is again not sufficient.
  • Since without the information about the age of the son's or daughter's we can tell the present age of the Reena age.
  • Hence both the statements are not sufficient to tell the age of Reena at that time.
