the phenomenon of change in the direction of light rays when they fall on a polished surface is called reflection
the 2 laws of reflection which always going the reflection of light rays by any reflecting surface are as follows :
1) the incident ray the normal at the point of incidence and the reflected ray all lie in the same plane
2 ) the angle of incidence and the angle of reflecting are equal to each other .

Reflection: Reflection is the phenomenon of change in path of light without any change in the medium.
Laws of Reflection:
(1) Angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection i.e. ∠i = ∠r.
(2) Incidence ray, reflected ray and the normal ray to the mirror, all lie in the same plane.
Hope it helps!!
