Reflection of light is when light bounces off an object. It depends on the surface of the object if the surface of the object is shiny, smooth like water, glass, etc the light rays will bounce at the same angle angle i= angle r(i=incident ray and r=reflected ray),its also called specular reflection. But on the other side if the surface of the object is rough and irregular then the light will bounces at an irregular angle. Then i is not equal to r.This all is called as reflection of light.

Hope it helped you......

the property of bouncing back of light when it hits a surface of an body or an object is termed as reflection
-------------------------
it is the tendency of the light to reflect when it hits a  surface like mirror etc
----
there are 2 laws of reflection
-----------
1)angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection
2)The incident ray, the reflected ray, and the normal all lie on the same plane
------------------
if the light hits a smooth surface the angle from will be a good one but is it hits hard or rough surface the angle will be irregular
