Reflection is a phenomenon of bouncing back of light from polished surface.

Regular reflection- It is a reflection from smooth surface such that light rays after reflection are parallel.

Irregular reflection- It is a reflection from rough surface such that after reflection light rays are not parallel.

Reflection is sound waves or light returning from a surface.

  • At an affiliate between dissimilar media, reflection is the substitute in the conduct of a wavefront so that it returns to the means from that it came.
  • Depending on the essence of the interaction, light reflection is also specular (mirror-like) or scattered (retaining energy but losing image).
  • The most frequent model for reflectance light reflection is a mirror, which is often made up of a glass sheet with a metallic coating on the surface where the major reflection occurs.
  • Regular reflection happen when light rays are uniformly parallel to one another and an image is created when reflected off a smooth surface.
  • Irregular reflection happen when light rays are not parallel to one further avoid produce an image due to diffused reflection off an uneven surface. Light reflected off the surface of a running stream, for example, does not generate an image.
