Explanation: Refraction is the change on direction at the boundary from between two media. Light travels along straight lines in a given medium. When light passes from one medium into another, the light changes direction. The denser the medium, the slower light movers through it. When a light moves from a less dense into a denser medium, such as from air to water, the light bends toward the normal. When a light moves from a denser into a less dense medium, such as from water to air, the light bends away from the normal.
