what is refraction of light?

sourabhsv: the bending of light rays towards normal when it enters from one medium to another
Anonymous: it depends
Anonymous: when a light ray enters from optically rarer medium to optically denser medium it bend towards normal
Anonymous: And when a light ray enters from optically denser medium to optically rarer medium it bends away from the normal
Anonymous: in both this cases refraction occurs
