What is Refraction of light? Explain the phenomenon of Refraction by the course of light Through a rectangular glass subject.
Answers
Answer:
usually when light it falls on a shiny surface for example a mirror it gets reflected in the same angle from the normal by which it was inciding. but here while talking about reflection of light the light rays are not totally refracted but it penetrates through the medium and its direction is changed. but not exactly as it has penetrated but it may vary according to the thickness that type and the angle from which it is penetrating.
Explanation:
usually while giving and explaining refraction of light a glass slab is used. the rectangular glass slab reflects the light and does not allow it to pass straight across it. it changes its direction. according from the distance of normal if it moves towards the normal the refracted ray will be away from the normal. if the inciding ray moves away from the normal then the ray refracted from the glass slab will be closer to the normal. such a phenomenon when the light passing through medium changes its direction is called refraction of light
