✨ YOUR ANSWER
____________
⏩ refraction of light in a prism happens 2 times. first when it enters or strikes the surface of prism second, when it comes out of the prism.
this happens due because the 2 surfaces through which light ray enters or exits are not parallel to each other i.e. they are inclined with each other through an angle (60°)
first it enters the prism and bends towards the base i.e. towards the normal because of difference in its refractive index and then when it goes out it bends away from the normal.
