The phenomenon of bending of light when it passes from one medium to another is called refraction.
there are mainly two laws of refraction:-
1st law : the incident ray, the refracted ray and the normal at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane.
2nd law : the ratio of sine of angle of incidence to the sine of angle of refraction is a constant.
mathematically, sin i/sin r= a constant
