refraction. Refraction is the bending of a light or sound wave, or the way the light bends when entering the eye to form an image on the retina. Anexample of refraction is a bending of the sun's rays as they enter raindrops, forming a rainbow.

when a light touches a medium and then refracts inside the medium in a crooked manner is known as refraction. For example- when we look at a coin inside a glass of water we see it floating on the top actually it is on the bottom of the glass this is a example of refraction
