Answer:

Refractive index of a transparent medium is the ratio of speed of light in vaccum to speed of light in that medium. the refractive index has no unit as it is the ratio of two similiar quantities. glass has more refractive index.

Answer:

The ratio of velocity of light in vaccum or air to the velocity of light in the given medium is called refractive index. It has no unit

Explanation:

It has no unit because the refractive index is the ratio of the speed of light in vaccum to the velocity of given medium. thus it has two units containing i.e velocity. Thus it has no unit
