(1) it is rich in calcium carbonate, potash , magnesium but poor in phosphoric content.

(2) it can hold moisture for long time.

(3) during summer, this soil develops cracks and in rainy season, it becomes sticky.

this soil is mainly found un peninsular India like Gujarat and Maharashtra and Malwa region.

Regur soil is also known as black cotton soil. It is mainly found in the Deccan region of India.(1) It is formed by cooling down of lava which get turned into rocks that is igneous and metamorphic rocks.

(2) It is rich in soil nutrients like potash , lime, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate etc, but poor in phosphoric content.
