Resistance is the objection provided in the way of a circuit to a current.
Substances which do not conduct electricity and heat are called insulators. Example: Wood.

Resistance is the property of a resistor by which it resist the electricity to flow from them
Whereas Insulators are those through which electricity can never pass.Examples are plastic,wood,etc.
