Atomic mass is the mass of protons, neutrons, (and also electrons which is very small) in an atom. It is expressed in atomic mass units (amu).

Relative atomic mass is the ratio of the atomic mass of the element by 1/12 th of atomic mass of Carbon 12 element.

It is denoted by Ar.
