Representive Democracy is the most common form of government.A representative democracy is a system of government in which representatives are elected by popular vote. These representatives then poll their constituents on the various matters and represent them in the large meeting called the "Congress".

Direct democracy is a form of democracy in which all the people gather at a particular place and  express their opinions and cast vote directly. This system is usually followed in small places like villages as it is not possible for everyone to gather and express themselves individually one by one.
