The process of obtaining the organisms as similar to the parent organisms is called reproduction .

The types of reproduction are as followed :

1. Asexual reproduction :

When only one parent is involved either male or female , and gametes are not involved , this types of reproduction is called asexual reproduction .
Eg - amoeba, yeast, plasmodium .

Types of Asexual reproduction :

2. Sexual reproduction .
When both the parents male or female are involved in the production of new organisms with the involvement of sex cells (gametes), this type of reproduction is called sexual reproduction.
