Hey !

Reproduction : It is the process of producing new individuals of the same species by existing organisms of species , i.e., parents....

Male reproductive system :

It consists of portions that produce the sperm cells and other portions that deliver the sperm cells to the site of fertilisation. The human male reproductive system consists of the following organs :

• Testes :The function of testes is to produce sperm and male sex hormone called testosterone. The scrotum provides the optimal temperature for formation of sperms.

• Vas deferens : The sperms are carried by a long tube called gas deferens or sperm duct into organs called seminal vesicles , where the sperms get nourished and stored.

• Penis : It forms the external male genital organ.

• Prostate gland : Produces fluid which is released in the urethra along with secretion of seminal vesicle .

• Sperms : These are tiny bodies that consist of mainly genetic material and a long tail which help them to move towards the female cell.

Female reproductive system :

The eggs are made in the ovaries and are responsible for the production of some hormones. The human female reproductive system contains following organs :

• Ovaries : These are a pair of small and oval shaped organs , located in the abdominal cavity near the kidney. Ovaries are the female primary reproductive organs which perform dual functions of production of ovum and the secretion of female sex hormones, estrogen and progesterone.

• Fallopian tube : These are a pair of long convoluted tubes that carry ova from the ovary to the uterus . These tubes from both the sides open into an elastic bag like structure , the uterus.

• Uterus : or womb is a hollow , pear shaped organ within which the embryo develops.

• Vagina: The uterus opens into the vagina through the cervix. Vagina is a tubular structure called " birth canal ".

Sexual reproduction in human beings :

• The male gametes is introduced inside the female genital tract by the process of copulation.

• Then sperms move up through cervix into the uterus and then passes into the fallopian tubes.

• In the fallopian tubes only one sperm fertilises the ovum to form zygote. This process is known as fertilisation.

• The embryo moves down to reach the uterus. The embedding of embryo in the thick inner lining of the uterus is called implantation.

• Then a special tissue called placenta develops between the uterine wall and the embryo , where the exchange of nutrients , oxygen, and waste products take place.

• The time period from the development of foetus inside the uterus till birth is called gestation period.

• The development of the child inside the mother's body takes approximately nine months.

the process of mating due to which the life continues on is called reproduction.

there are several organelles present in both sexes which are termed as reproductive organs such as testis in males ,ovaries in females ,vas deferens in males ,fallopian tube in females

the testis secrete the male gametes sperms which when get mixed with the product formed in seminal vessicle is termed as semen this semen is introduced in female through penis
when the mating occurs and the male inserts its erect penis in to female vagina then the sperm comes out and fuses with the ovum produced by ovaries this fusion takes place in fallopian tube.

this is however a long process sorry cant i define it more briefly.

Have a nice day.
