Reproduction means to reproduce. It is a biological process by which an organism reproduces an offspring who is biologically similar to the organism. Reproductionenables and ensures the continuity of species, generation after generation. It is the main feature of life on earth.

There are two forms ofreproduction: asexual and sexual.

In asexual reproduction, an organism can reproduce without the involvement of another organism.

Asexual reproduction is not limited to single-celled organisms. The cloning of an organism is a form of asexual reproduction.

Sexual reproduction is the process in which new organisms are created, by combining the genetic information from two individuals of different sexes. The genetic information is carried on chromosomes within the nucleus of specialized sex cells called gametes.
