Answer:

Reproduction is the biological process by which new individual organisms – "offspring" – are produced from their "parents". Reproduction is a fundamental feature of all known life; each individual organism exists as the result of reproduction. There are two forms of reproduction: asexual and sexual. DNA determines the body design of an individual. The DNA that gets transferred from parents to offsprings makes them look similar. DNA copying is important for reproduction. Additional copies of DNA are made during replication which is necessary for the new cells formed after cell division.

Reproduction is the act of reproducing.

  • It's a biological mechanism that allows an organism to produce biologically identical progeny.
  • Reproduction ensures and allows organisms to continue to exist from one generation to the next.
  • It is the most important aspect of life on Earth.
  • DNA replication is necessary for reproduction because it ensures that each daughter cell created at the end of cell division receives the same quantity of DNA.
  • If the DNA is not copied, the daughter cells will lack all of the necessary genes.
