Residual volume is the volume of air remaining in the lungs even after forcible expiration. This is about 1100 ml to 1200 ml....☺️☺️

Residual volume is the amount of gas remaining in the lungs at the end of a maximal exhalation.It is important because it prevents the lungs from collapsing. we have expelled as much air as possible gaseous exchange is still occurring by residual volume in the lungs.
