Resistivity is the property of conductor which tells about the nature of conductor. It is the property because of which any conductor cause resistance or opposing force for the movement of current.

Resistivity or Specific Resistance :-
Resistivity or specific resistance of a material is numerically equal to the resistance of a conductor of length 1 meter and area of cross- section 1m2.
Mathematically ;
>>> rhow = RA/l
Where, R = resistance of a conductor.
A = Area of cross- section of a conductor.
l = length of a conductor.
S.I unit of resistivity is Ohm.meter
