RESISTIVITY :-
Resistivity can be defined as the resisting power of any conducting element against the flow of electrons or current through it.
Resistivity is the property of the element.
Standard Unit of Resistivity is ohm metre.
Now,
We know that :-
☸️ Resistance of a conductor is directly proportional to the length of the conductor
☸️ Resistance of conductor is inversely proportional to the area of the cross section of the conductor.
So,
Resistance will be proportional to Length /Area of cross section
So,
So,
We get that :-
