Respiration is the process of inhale & exale of oxygen. It is the process of carrying away the oxygen (O2) to the blood cells & carrying out carbon dioxide (CO2) away from the body.

The air enters through the nose passes through the wind pipe & reaches the lungs the lungs carry the air to the blood . It mixes with the blood & oygenate the blood then again by the lungs & exhaled out by nose .

The normal respiration rate for an adult at rest is 12 to 20 breaths per minute.
