Respiration is a processed used by all cells to turn fuel, which holds stored energy, into a usable form.

Explanation:

  • The product of respiration is a molecule called ATP, which can simply use the energy stored in its phosphate bonds to power chemical reactions the cell needs to exist.
  • Aerobic respiration is respiration which uses oxygen as a reactant.
  • Aerobic respiration is much more efficient, and produces ATP very much quickly, than anaerobic respiration (respiration without oxygen).
