Respiration is the process a breakdown of food which results in oxidation needed for some of the activities in cells

aerobic respiration takes place in the presence of oxygen more amount of energy is released

It takes place in mitochondria

Water carbon dioxide and energy is released

Anaerobic respiration takes place in the absence of oxygen

It results in the release of less amount of energy

It also releases ethanol lactic acid and some amount of energy

It takes place in cytoplasm

Answer:

The process of breaking down of glucose into energy or alcohol ( ethanol ) is known as Respiration. It involves two stages

a. Kreb's cycle

b. Glycolysis

Aerobic denotes the term ‘in the presence of oxygen’ while the word anaerobic denotes the ‘absence of oxygen’. So the respiration which occurs in the presence of oxygen is called as aerobic respiration, on the other hand, respiration occurring in the absence of oxygen is known anaerobic respiration.

Both aerobic and anaerobic respiration includes convertion of glucose into pyruvate ( 3 carbon molecule) inside the cytoplasm
