respiration is the biochemical process which includes breathing and oxidation of food with the release of energy. breathing means taking in air rich in oxygen and giving out their rich in carbon dioxide. all living organisms respire to get energy the energy produced during respiration is in the form heart. during respiration in organisms get oxygen from environment through specialised organs of breathing called lungs. which are present in higher animals from frog to man. release of energy takes place in all living organisms.
