Reverberation is the process of persistence of rehearing of sound after reflection from any obstacle.

Applications of reflection of sound waves :

1. Used in stethoscope.

2. To find distance and speed of underwater objects. This is known as SONAR.

Due to repeated reflection at a reflecting surface the sound gets prolonged. This phenomenon is known as reverberations. 

Sound waves are used in echo depth sounding , electrical device like loud speakers , ultrasonography, sound ranging and navigation..
