♦ Rhabdome..
> Rhabdome is secreted by 7 Retinular cells. This region is surrounded by retinular pigment sheath.
> End of rhabdome is attach with basement membrane where nerve fibre arised and reached upto the brain.
♦ Ommatidium .
Cockroach has 1 pair compund eyes. each compound eyes bear about 2000 Ommatidium. In compound eye omatidia are present on Ommatidiumphore in radiating manner. An Ommatidium behave as a single eyes.
♦ Each Ommatidium form the image of small part of an object. In this way the images from all ommatidia are sent ti brain in the form of impulse here all images are assembled to form a single image it is called a Mosaic vision.
