Rhizobium is a bacteria.
it belongs to kingdom monera which include prokaryotic organisms.
rhizobium shows symbiotic nitrogen fixing associaton with legume plants.such as sweet pea .garden pea.etc

Rhizobium is one such bacteria. Rhizobium are soil bacteria that fix nitrogen. It was first identified in 1889. Its research are mostly done in clover, alfalfa, beans, peas and soy.
