RNA splicing, in molecular biology, is a form of RNA processing in which a newly made precursor messenger RNA transcript is transformed into a mature messenger RNA. During splicing, introns are removed and exons are joined together.

RNA Splicing occurs in immature RNA of eukaryotes. Newly made RNA or Immature RNA contains both exons (functional) and introns (non functional) . Hence, it is subjected to a process called Splicing where the introns are removed and exons are joined in a defined order.
