Roasting is carried out in sulphide ores in order to purify by the metal by converting the sulphides to oxides because oxide iş reduced easily to pure metal as compared to sulphides.

hi,

to obtain the pure metal the sulphide ores are roasted ( roasting means heating the ores in presence of air ).

the sulphide ores belong to less reactivity. after roasting the metal is obtained later purified into a pure metal
