Histone is basically a protein present in our DNA which makes it shorter in length or else it can extend up to sun amd come back 500 TIMES....

Histones are highly alkaline proteins found in eucaryotic cell nuclei that package and order the DNA into structural units called nucleosomes.they are the chief protein components for chromatin,acting around the spools that DNA winds,and playing role in gene regulation.......
