Answer:

Roughage is the part of food that is not fully digested as it passes through the bowel. Roughage is found in some, but not all, foods. Roughage is sometimes confused with fiber. Fiber is important for digestive health. Some fiber has roughage, but not all fiber contains roughage.

Roughage is made up of fibres that is not digested by human body.

  • We eat several things that come from plants, roughage is the fibroys thing that is present in them and we are not able to digest them.
  • However they are indigestible but they are necessary for our body because they help to maintain the balance of water in human body.
  • We get roughage from the floor things: potatoes, grains, etc.
