Answer:

When rounding to the nearest hundred, look at the TENS DIGIT of the number. If that digit is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, you will round down to the previous hundred. If that digit is 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, you will round up to the next hundred.

For example- the number is 23454 = the hundred digit is 4 and ten digit is 5. So, 5 is in tens place so we will round off it to next hundred. The answer will be 23500.

For example- the number is 23732= the hundred digit is 7 and ten digit is 3. So, 3 is in tens place so will round off it to previous hundred. The answer will be 23700

For example-

1) 9324= 9300

2) 454332= 454300

3) 759465= 759500

4) 946859= 946900

5) 8796= 8800

6)897= 900
