rawlatt act:-
when the second world war ended in the year 1918, the indians were expecting to be granted swaraj( self-rule) .. but instead the british government set up a commission ..called rawlatt commission.. and enacted an act called rawlatt act which granted the police to search any place without a warrent and arrest anyone without a trail... the indians called this a black act.this was held in the same year when mahatma gandhi started the satyagraha..and he insisted everyone to be against this act..there were may demonstrations and protests all over the country due to this act...
