Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is a national level programme to generate employment opportunities.

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) launched the Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP) on 1st April, 1995 for generation of two million jobs under the KVI sector in the rural areas of the country.
