Rutherford theory of atoms :- On the basis of his experiment to the first put forward the nuclear model of an atom which have the following features -
- there is a positively charged centre in an atom called the nucleus .
- the electron revolve around the nucleus in circular path
- the size of nucleus is very small as compared to the size of atom
Observations of Rutherford theory :-
- most of the fast moving particle passed straight through the gold foil .
- some of the particles were deflected by the foil by small angles

There are three radiations are :-
- - these are positively charged radiations
- - these are negatively charged radiations
- - these are neutral radiations
